Civil Engineering
CIVIL ENGINEERING works was actually where we started our career and show of our capability as Frabs Engineering Limited. Our expertise in civil aspect of Engineering includes but not limited to Flexible pavement Construction in several regions ranging from less bearing soil capacity terrains like the riverine areas of the Niger delta to high bearing capacity areas of the east. Other areas are Rigid Pavement Construction.
Bridges: Under Civil we also have adequate expertise and technical know-how to execute bridges, ranging from its conceptualization stage of designs to construction.
Drainages: Surface drainage systems and subsurface drainage systems. Box drainages, U- channel and Hexagonal drainages, Rings drainages etc.
Culverts: Box culverts and Precast Ring Culverts . The main essence is to have a structure that allows water to flow under a
road, railroad, trail, or similar obstruction from one side to the other side. Typically embedded so as to be surrounded by soil. And these culvert may be made of pipes, concretes or other material.
Building and Estate
development: Building and Estate development is part of our civil areas of expertise. We have the capability to deliver robust building infrastructure from FEED (Front end engineering designs) down to construction and commissioning. We also carry out turnkey rehabilitation and maintenance works.
Pipeline Engineering
Pipeline spool welding: Pipeline spool welding and fabrication is one of our area of specialty. These we have expertise in both Onshore and swampy terrains fabrication and installation. Both with the use of land skid and lay barge.
Manifold Works, Repair and Maintenance: We also carry out facility maintenance and repairs ranging pipeline leakage repairs, turnkey maintenance and repairs, facility upgrade, corrosion control and cathodic protection checks and installations.

Hydro Engineering and Dredging
Frabs Eng. Ltd. is also involved in different aspects of hydro-engineering and dredging services. Our Organization has a wide range of dredging activities as stated below
Construction Dredging:
This dredging involves bringing up of sand from the water bed for construction purposes, such as sand filling works, land reclamation, erosion control, road construction, etc.
Maintenance Dredging: The activity of keeping existing watercourses, harbor basins, etc. at the required nautical and / or hydrological depth by removing siltation. The environmental effects of such an operation are in general or minor importance and limited to the effect of the dredging operation itself and the disposal operation when no beneficial use of the dredge spoil is available. Environmental issues increase in importance when the material to be dredged is polluted.
Capital Dredging: The activity of creating new civil engineering works by means of dredging such as harbour basins, canal, etc. and deepening of existing waterway, approach channels. Capital dredging is carried out in virgin soil, which in general is unpolluted. The effect on the environment are limited to the actual working site(s), where the existing habitat or ecosystem is (temporarily) removed.
Mineral dredging: The activity of extracting minerals with an economic value from underwater deposit. Mineral dredging takes place to mine for the instance gold, tin, so-called mineral sand (ilmenite, rutile, zircon), phosphates; but also for sand, clay and gravel. The non-valuable fractions dredged along with the mined mineral(s) are in general dumped back in the mined area. The environmental effects of the minerals dredging are comparable with the capital dredging, the resulting “landscape” however with e.g. deep gravel pits might cause other environmental problems, which are also beyond our present scope of work.
Environmental and remediation dredging: The activity of removing polluted sediments from rivers, harbour basin etc. Environmental dredging therefore often will be a special type of maintenance dredging. The removal of polluted sediments just because their presence might cause a hazard to public health has created a new type of project and ecosystems. Environmental aspects must be taken into account during the phases of the execution of environmental dredging works.
Mechanical Work/Heavy Fabrication
We also possess major expertise in high pressure vessels and marine fabrication, civil structural stanchions and trusses.
We fabricate and install steel roof carcass for robust and industrial structures like churches schools factories. These civil related fabrications also includes steel stanchions & roof trusses, overhead water tanks, mast etc.
